A young man ended his life in Paktika

Following suicides in the country’s provinces, sources in Paktika say a young man has hanged himself in the province.

The incident took place before noon today (Wednesday) in the village of Hasti in the Janikhel district of Paktika province, the sources said.

The motive for the suicide is not yet clear, but officials at the Taliban’s Information and Culture Department in Paktika say the young man committed suicide due to a mental illness.

Meanwhile, the number of suicides in the provinces of the country has increased unprecedentedly recently, and the cause of most of these incidents is poverty and economic problems.
