A vehicle carrying Taliban personnel was targeted in central Balkh

Taliban officials in Balkh say three people have been injured in an explosion in the provincial capital.

Mohammad Asif Waziri, spokesman for the Taliban police headquarters in Balkh, said the incident took place in the fifth district of Mazar-e-Sharif, the capital of Balkh province.

He added that the blast was caused by a landmine and targeted a vehicle carrying employees of the 209th Fatah Corps.

According to him, as a result of this incident, three employees of this corps were injured and taken to the hospital.

However, no one or group has claimed responsibility for the blast.
