Human Rights Watch called for return travel bans on Taliban officials

The director of the women’s section of Human Rights Watch has said that the travel ban on Taliban officials should be returned.

Heidar Barr, deputy Director of Women’s Affairs at Human Rights Watch, tweeted that it was time to take more proactive action, including reinstating travel bans for Taliban officials.

Ms. Barr had previously tweeted criticizing the international community’s performance in preventing human rights abuses in Afghanistan, saying that there was good room for countries to put pressure on the Taliban because of the restrictions they had imposed on women, but she did not think. To influence and pressure this group, they have used the available space as they should.

He added: “We have witnessed convictions. We now need a unified and strategic approach to putting pressure on the Taliban to end their abuse of the people.

It is worth mentioning that the Taliban have imposed many restrictions on human rights, especially on women and girls, after taking control of Afghanistan.
