Occurrence of fire in the forests of Nuristan

Local officials in Nuristan say that fires have been burning in the forests of Nurgram district for the past two days.

According to Salam Watandar, Saifuddin Leton, spokesman for the governor of Nuristan, said that the fire had been burning for two days in the forests of Dara-e-Sham area of ​​Nurgram district of the province.

He did not provide information about the cause of the fire, but said that the Nangarhar fire brigade had arrived at the scene and was trying to contain the fire with the help of local people.
