Tom West met with representatives of Afghan political parties in Turkey

The leader of the Afghanistan Unity Party announced the meeting of Thomas West, US Special Representative for Afghanistan, with representatives of the country’s political parties in Turkey.

Mohammad Mohaqiq, leader of the Afghanistan Unity Party, wrote on his Facebook page that Thomas West, the US Special Representative for Afghanistan and his accompanying delegation, met in Istanbul on Saturday and Sunday with two separate series of meetings with representatives of political parties, members of the National Resistance Council, women and Civil society.

He added that the meeting focused on Afghanistan and the plight of Afghanistan, and focused on negotiations and political agreement on the achievements and rights of the Afghan people before reaching a comprehensive administration.

The US Special Representative for Afghanistan met with the Uzbek Foreign Minister to discuss the situation in Afghanistan.

The US Special Representative for Afghanistan met with Uzbek Foreign Minister Vladimir Norov in Tashkent two days ago, during which the two sides agreed on the need to coordinate international efforts to support the Afghan people.
