The decapitated body of a woman was found in a well in Balkh

Taliban officials in Balkh report the discovery of the decapitated body of a woman from a well in the provincial capital.

Mohammad Asif Waziri, spokesman for the Balkh Police Command, said the beheaded body of a woman in the provincial capital had been recovered from a well.

She adds that her name is Rita and she was killed by her husband three months ago and then her beheaded body was thrown into a water well.

According to a spokesman for the Balkh Police Command, four people have been arrested in connection with the murder, but the main killer, who is her husband and was a former army soldier in Herat, is a fugitive.

This is while the before in similar incidents, the mysterious bodies of several women from Mazar-e-Sharif city and districts of Balkh province have been found.
