Taliban officials say a spokesman for the former Afghan government’s defense ministry has returned to the country at their invitation.

Character Contact Commission newly established by the Taliban has announced the return of General Dawlat Waziri, a spokesman for the former government’s defense ministry, to Afghanistan, and announced that he had returned to the country at the invitation of the commission’s officials.

In the statement, the commission called on former government officials who had gone abroad to return home, emphasizing that the Taliban government had provided a better environment for all in the country.
