Fire in forests of Khost province

Following widespread fires in the forests of Nuristan, local sources in Khost province now say that fires have been burning in the forests of the province since Sunday.

Sources say that residents of Khost province are trying to contain the fire, but the fire is still ongoing.

But some sources say that 90% of the fire was contained by residents of Khost province.

However, the cause of the fire in the Jalghuza forests of Khost province is still unknown. Taliban officials have not yet commented.

Meanwhile, at least 68 hectares of forest have already been burnt as a result of a fire in Valle Nuristan.
