A pregnant woman was killed by her husband in Faryab

Local officials in Faryab say a pregnant woman has been killed by her husband in the province.

Officials of the Taliban Department of Information and Culture in Faryab say that the incident took place yesterday in the fourth district of Maimana city, the capital of the province.

According to them, the man killed his wife, who was pregnant, with a knife in his house and fled.

Taliban officials say the woman killed was 19 years old and seven months pregnant.

Officials say the cause of the woman’s murder is still unknown and security forces in the province are trying to arrest the killer.

Murder and violence against women have recently increased in most provinces of the country.
