Afghan delegation talks with Russian companies about purchasing wheat, gas and oil

A delegation from the Afghan Chamber of Commerce and Industries has arrived in Russia to attend the St. Petersburg International Economic Summit.
Officials from the Afghan Chamber of Commerce have said the delegation is scheduled to discuss the purchase of wheat, gas and oil with Russian companies.
The Deputy Minister of Finance and Administration of the Chamber of Commerce said that the delegation that went to Russia to attend the St. Petersburg meeting intends to discuss with the Russian companies a memorandum of understanding for the purchase of gas, oil and wheat from Russia.
Jamal Nasser Gharwal, Chargé d’Affaires of the Afghan Embassy in Moscow, and Mohammad Younis Mohmand, Head of the Afghan Chamber of Commerce and Industries, are scheduled to attend the St. Petersburg Economic Forum on June 15-18.
The delegation is representing the Taliban government at a meeting in St. Petersburg, the government of which has not yet been recognized by any country.
