Tom West called for the protection of vulnerable minorities in Afghanistan

The US Special Representative for Afghanistan has condemned the attack on Sikh shrines in Kabul and called for the protection of vulnerable minorities.

The US Special Representative for Afghanistan, Tom West, tweeted condemning the attack on Sikh shrines in Kabul, saying that vulnerable minorities should be protected.

The attack by gunmen on a Sikh shrine in Kabul, which also resulted in several explosions, left two dead and seven wounded, according to the Taliban Interior Ministry.

ISIL claimed responsibility for the attack by publishing leaflet.

Following the attack, a number of countries, including India and human rights organizations, condemned the attack.
