The United Nations is providing assistance to earthquake victims in Afghanistan

The UN Under-Secretary-General’s Special Representative for Afghanistan says the organization provides humanitarian assistance to earthquake victims in Afghanistan.
Rams Al-Akbarov, the UN Under-Secretary-General’s Special Representative, tweeted that the United Nations was providing humanitarian assistance to earthquake victims in Afghanistan, including food, medicine and cash.
He announced the aid while visiting the quake-hit areas in Paktika province.
A strong earthquake shook parts of Afghanistan on Wednesday, killing and injuring more than 3,000 people in Paktika, Paktia and Khost provinces.
