Taliban: A large gathering of ulema is being held in Kabul

Taliban spokesman says a large gathering of ulema is scheduled to take place in Kabul at the behest of the Taliban leadership.

Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid tweeted that the group’s leadership would soon hold a large gathering of ulema in Kabul at the request of the people.

Taliban spokesman added that a large number of ulema and tribal leaders from each province and district would attend the gathering.

Taliban spokesman did not say what will be discussed at the rally.

But some news sources have said that the meeting will focus on some political issues as well as the reopening of girls’ schools.
