Nizamuddin Qaisari was expelled from the Jonbish Party

After Nizamuddin Qaisari, one of the former commanders, returned to Afghanistan and declared his support for the Taliban, the National Jonbish Party expelled him from the party in a statement.

A statement issued by the National Jonbish Party quoted General Dostum, the party’s leader, as saying: “The National Islamic Movement Party of Afghanistan declares that such individuals are expelled from the party and no longer belong to the party.” They do not have the right to represent the party, especially the Turkomans.

In the statement, Mr. Dostum reiterated the Taliban government’s lack of national and international legitimacy and condemned the group’s monopoly of power.

He added that people affiliated with the party, who in such circumstances stand by the Taliban after decades of fighting, also become accomplices of the group in front of the people.

Nizamuddin Qaisari, one of Abdul Rashid Dostum’s key commanders, returned to Kabul this week at the invitation of the Taliban.
