Save the children: 13 million children in Afghanistan need urgent help

The Children’s Protection Foundation says that currently 13 million children in Afghanistan need urgent help.
In its latest report on the children of Afghanistan, the Children’s Protection Foundation wrote that 13 million of the 24.4 million needy in Afghanistan are children.
Emphasizing that 97 percent of Afghanistan’s population is at risk of falling below the poverty line, this organization added that according to forecasts, 18.9 million people, including 9.2 million children, will face food insecurity between July and September this year.
At the moment, 1.1 million children under the age of 5 in Afghanistan are malnourished and 8 million children need support to access education.
