Kabulov: America’s readiness to hand over Afghanistan’s foreign exchange reserves to the trust fund is an insolent proposal

The special representative of the Russian president for Afghanistan, in response to the fact that the United States is ready to hand over the frozen reserves of the Central Bank of Afghanistan to a trust fund, said that this is an insolent proposal.
In an interview with Sputnik, Zamir Kabulov, the special representative of the Russian president for Afghan affairs, reacted to the United States’ readiness to hand over the foreign currency reserves of the Central Bank of Afghanistan to a trust fund and said that this is an insolent proposal.
He said in this interview: This is a completely brazen proposal, which means that Washington will appoint the head of the Central Bank of Afghanistan and will manipulate the actions of the authorities as a result of the financial flows.
Kabulov added that the US has been doing this for 20 years when the authorities were holding hands in Afghanistan.
Emphasizing that the US has not only blocked the money of Afghans, he added: “It has been forty years since billions of Iranian money have been stolen. 300 billion dollars from Russia and from Syria, which is stolen every day by pumping and illegally selling oil.
Kabulov made these statements while Tom West, the US special representative for Afghanistan affairs, said at the Tashkent meeting that Washington is ready to hand over the foreign currency reserves of the Central Bank of Afghanistan to a trust fund managed by a third party.
