Mujahid: We did not know about Zawahiri’s residence in Kabul

The spokesperson of the Taliban says that this group did not know about the presence and residence of the Al-Qaeda leader in Kabul.

Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman of the Taliban, in response to the statements of US President Jubayd regarding the killing of Ayman al-Zawahiri, the leader of al-Qaeda in Kabul, says that they have started investigations in this regard and that the group did not know about Zawahiri’s residence in Kabul.

Emphasizing that a delegation has been appointed to investigate this incident, he promised that Afghanistan’s soil will not be used against any country, especially the United States.

Two days ago, the President of the United States, Joe Biden, announced that the leader of Al-Qaeda was killed as a result of a drone attack by this country in Kabul, which was condemned by the Taliban spokesman.
