Petraeus: America could have prevented the fall of the previous Afghan government

The former commander of American forces in Afghanistan says that America could have prevented the fall of the previous Afghan government and taken control of the situation in this country.
David Petraeus, the former commander of the US forces in Afghanistan, in an article he wrote in the Atlantic magazine, emphasizing that Washington could have prevented the fall of the previous Afghan government, argued that the US could have remained in the role of adviser and supporter of the Afghan government with less human and financial costs.
In this article, he called the Doha agreement the worst political agreement in the history of the United States and said that according to this agreement, 5 thousand Taliban fighters were released from prisons, which caused the Taliban to gain power and the fall of the previous government of Afghanistan.
General Petraeus predicted in his article that the Taliban will continue to host and support terrorist groups.
Meanwhile, one year has passed since the Taliban came to power and the US left Afghanistan, and during this one year, Afghanistan has faced deep economic crises.
On the other hand, the authorities of most countries of the world consider the hasty withdrawal of America as the reason for the bad situation in Afghanistan.
