The Indian Foreign Minister has said that a group of Indian diplomats have returned to Afghanistan.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of India, Subramaniam Jaishenkar, said yesterday that a group of Indian diplomats have returned to Afghanistan, except the ambassador of this country, and the Afghan employees of the Indian embassy will also return to their jobs.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Taliban has welcomed this action of India.

Abdul Qahar Balkhi, the spokesman of this ministry, wrote in a tweet that the government of this group appreciates India’s step to increase the level of diplomatic representation of that country’s embassy in Kabul.

He added: In addition to providing security, we will pay close attention to the safety of diplomats and cooperate well.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Taliban has expressed hope that with the increase in the level of diplomatic representation and the sending of diplomats, the relations between Afghanistan and India will be further strengthened.

It is worth mentioning that India blocked its diplomatic representation in Afghanistan after the Taliban took over Afghanistan.
