Herat-Khaf railway opened

The railway line between Khaf city in Rezevi Khorasani province in the northeast of Iran and Herat city in Afghanistan was opened.
With the ceremony attended by Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and Afghanistan President Eşref Gani via video conference, train services between Khaf and Herat started.
Khaf-Herat railway is 130 km long, with 70 km in Iran and 60 km in Afghanistan.
