Marshal Dustom: In Afghan culture, raising hands on women is a sign of cowardice

The former vice president of Afghanistan says that in the culture of Afghan people, raising hands on women is a sign of cowardice and humiliation.

Marshal Dustom, the deputy of the former government of Afghanistan, wrote in a tweet that in the culture of the Afghan people, raising hands against women is a sign of cowardice and humiliation, but the Taliban, who have not belong to native people of Afghanistan, destroyed a peaceful march of women whose only slogan is (bread, work) and Freedom) with gunshots and whipping force.

He added that Taliban fighters have arrested a number of women against all principles and human values.

According to him, the international media and human rights organizations should not be silent about the tyranny and atrocities of the Taliban, especially the double oppression against Afghan women.

Yesterday, a number of women in Kabul started a march against the Taliban with the slogan “bread, work, freedom”, which was ended by gunfire from the Taliban.
