Karzai once again condemned the closure of schools in Afghanistan

The former president of Afghanistan once again condemned the closure of schools for girls in Afghanistan and said that banning girls’ education means preventing the progress of Afghanistan.

Hamid Karzai, the former president of Afghanistan, told DW in Masabaha that depriving girls of education means denying Afghanistan’s growth and development.

He added: We must do our best to fight for the right to education for our children and we will not give up.

A year has passed since the Taliban regained power in Afghanistan, and during this time, the gates of schools were closed to girls above the sixth grade.
