The Department of Meteorology warned of the possibility of heavy rains and floods in 24 provinces of the country

The Afghanistan Meteorological Department has warned of the possibility of heavy rainfall with lightning and flash floods in 24 provinces of the country.

In a statement, the Afghanistan Meteorological Department said that there is a possibility of heavy rains with thunder and lightning, flash floods and relatively strong winds in the provinces of Badakhshan, Takhar, Nuristan, Kunar, Laghman, Nangarhar, Kapisa, Panjshir, Baghlan, Parwan, Kabul, Bamyan. Maidan Watdak, Logar, Paktia, Khost, Paktika, Ghazni, Uruzgan, Kandahar, Helmand, Daikundi, Ghor and Zabul are expected.

This directorate added that the amount of rainfall in different parts of the said provinces is predicted to be between 15 and 60 mm.

According to the announcement of this department, there are still relatively strong winds with dust in Herat, Farah and Nimroz provinces, the speed of which is expected to be between 20 and 60 kilometers per hour.

It should be mentioned that the residents of most of the provinces of Afghanistan have witnessed the strong floods this year, which have caused huge loss of life and financial losses.
