General McKenzie: Cooperation between the Taliban and Al-Qaeda will bring American forces back to Afghanistan

The former commander of the Central Command of the US Army has said that if the Taliban cooperates with Al-Qaeda, the US Army may return to Afghanistan.
General Kenneth McKenzie, the former commander of the Central Command of the US Army (CENTGAM), said in an interview with Fox News that he was against the withdrawal of his country’s troops from Afghanistan.
Emphasizing that the US Ministry of Defense had announced to the White House that if the US forces withdraw from Afghanistan, the Taliban will gain complete power in this country, he added: We believed that if we withdraw our forces If we take it out, the cable will fall and the question was about the time of its fall; This was the constant position of the central command and our subsidiaries in Afghanistan.
In this interview, referring to the killing of Ayman al-Zawahiri, the leader of al-Qaeda in Kabul, he said that it is possible that the cooperation between the Taliban and al-Qaeda will force the American forces to return to Afghanistan.
In this regard, the former head of Centcom said: It is in the interest of the United States in the long run not to allow the centers of violent extremism to grow and expand in Afghanistan, and I believe that in the shadow of the current Taliban regime, this issue will most likely happen.
According to him, if Biden had kept a small piece of American forces in Afghanistan, the former Afghan government would not have collapsed.
Meanwhile, one year has passed since the hasty withdrawal of American forces from Afghanistan and the coming to power of the Taliban in this country, and during this time, the people of Afghanistan have been facing many problems.
