Taliban: Afghanistan does not need a constitution

The Ministry of Justice of the Taliban says that Afghanistan does not need a constitution and the affairs of the country will be resolved using Islamic laws.
Abdul Karim Haider, deputy of the Taliban Ministry of Justice, said in a press conference yesterday that Afghanistan does not need a constitution and the affairs of the country are resolved using Hanafi jurisprudence.
He said: In every Islamic country, the great Qur’an, the Sunnah of the Messenger of God, and jurisprudence, in general and in detail, are the basis and text of the constitution of that country.
The Deputy Minister of Justice of the Taliban also said about women’s rights: the rights that Islam gave to women, the Islamic Emirate also gives them that right, but when the context is favorable.
He also rejected the activities of political parties in Afghanistan and said that there is no need for the activities of political parties in this country at the moment.
This is while the international community has repeatedly asked the Taliban to form an inclusive government with the participation of the main political currents in Afghanistan.
