The United Nations called Afghanistan the worst country for women

The head of the United Nations Population Fund called Afghanistan the worst country for women and said that after the Taliban came to power, the health system in this country has collapsed.
In an interview with Deutsche Welle, the head of the United Nations Population Fund, Al-Sikander Budiroza, called Afghanistan the worst country for women, especially pregnant women, and said that after the Taliban came to power, the health system in this country collapsed and health services are challenged.
He added that in the last 20 years, Afghanistan has made progress in preventing the death of mothers during childbirth, but now these achievements are being lost.
The United Nations Population Fund has estimated that from 2022 to 2025, due to the economic crisis and the collapse of the health system in Afghanistan, 51 thousand women may lose their lives during childbirth.
This is due to the fact that Afghanistan has the highest maternal mortality rate in Asia, and with the collapse of the health system in this country, there is a possibility of increasing this number.
