Taliban: People themselves do not want their daughters to go to school

The Acting Minister of Education of the Taliban says that the people themselves do not want to send girls above their age to school.

Noorullah Munir, Acting Minister of Education of the Taliban, said in a news conference in Uruzgan that according to the current situation, people themselves do not want to send their 16-year-old girls to school.

He said in the conference that the ministry is trying to provide suitable conditions for girls so that they can study in a suitable environment.

According to the Acting Minister of Education, the Taliban know the culture of the Afghan people and they do not do anything that is against this culture.

This is while after the Taliban came to power, all schools for girls above the sixth grade in Afghanistan have been closed.

So far, female students have protested many times in most provinces of the country for the reopening of girls’ schools by the Taliban, but no attention has been paid by the leadership of this group.
