Karzai met with the head of UNAMA in Afghanistan

The former president of Afghanistan has emphasized the reopening of schools in a meeting with the special representative of the UN Secretary General in Afghanistan.

Hamid Karzai, the former president of Afghanistan, met with Marks Putzel, the Special Representative of the Secretary General of the United Nations and the head of UNAMA in Afghanistan.

In this meeting, both sides, while discussing the situation in Afghanistan and the region, emphasized the education of girls and the reopening of schools.

In the continuation of this meeting, the former president of Afghanistan has also appreciated the assistance of the international community to the people of this country.

He added that intra-Afghan talks between Afghans are necessary to establish peace and stability in Afghanistan.

The former president of Afghanistan condemned the closure of schools for girls in Afghanistan and said that banning girls’ education means preventing the progress of Afghanistan.
