More than 20,000 liters of alcoholic beverages were discovered and confiscated by the Taliban in Herat

The Ministry of Interior Affairs of the acting Taliban government has announced the identification and seizure of more than 20,000 liters of alcoholic beverages in Herat.

In the announcement of the Taliban Ministry of Interior, it is stated that the anti-narcotics police officers of the Herat Provincial Police Command, during a discovery operation, identified and seized 25 thousand liters of alcoholic beverages while being smuggled to Afghanistan inside Islam Qala Customs.

According to this ministry, these drinks were professionally loaded inside a container from Dubai.

In another announcement, the Taliban’s Ministry of Interior announced the discovery of a drug factory in Herat province.

The ministry said that this factory was discovered as a result of the discovery operation of the anti-narcotics administration in Obi district of Herat province, and one person was arrested in connection with it.
