Russia condemned America’s decision to transfer Afghan assets to a Swiss bank

The Russian Embassy in Washington has condemned the US decision to create an Afghanistan fund in Switzerland to transfer the frozen assets of this country to it.

According to Sputnik, in a statement, the Russian embassy in Washington called the US decision to create a fund of frozen Afghan financial resources in Switzerland a violation of international standards and the sovereignty of a country.

The announcement of this embassy states: We consider this action against international laws and a violation of the sovereignty of a foreign country. The people of Afghanistan have the right to withhold resources without the interference of “foreign managers”.

The Russian Embassy in Washington added that the decision of the US government will only increase poverty in Afghanistan and it has been approved against numerous invitations from the American and international community.

Yesterday, the US State Department announced that Washington has decided to transfer the frozen assets of Afghanistan worth 3.5 billion dollars to Switzerland in coordination with international partners.
