The process of taking entrance exam has started in 33 provinces of Afghanistan

Officials in the Ministry of Higher Education of the Taliban have announced the beginning of the entrance exam process in 33 provinces of the country.

Ahmed Taqi, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Higher Education of the Taliban wrote in a tweet that the entrance examination of 33 provinces of the country officially started today (Thursday) in a safe and secure environment.

The entrance examination is supposed to continue in 33 provinces of the country for two more days.

However, some sources say that the number of participants in the entrance exam in most provinces of the country has decreased by 40-50% compared to last year.

These sources cite the system change, the closure of girls’ schools in most provinces of the country by the Taliban, the unclear future of the country, and poverty and unemployment among the reasons for the lack of participants in the entrance exams.
