American officials have met with the Taliban delegation in Doha, the capital of Qatar

CNN reported that American officials met with the Taliban delegation in Doha, the capital of Qatar, on Saturday.

According to CNN’s report, in this meeting, the deputy of the US Intelligence Organization (CIA) and the special representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of this country for Afghanistan, and Abdul Haq Vathiq, the head of the intelligence of this group, and some other officials were present in this meeting.

It should be noted that this is the first meeting of American officials with the Taliban delegation after the death of Ayman al-Zawahiri, the leader of al-Qaeda in Kabul.

The leader of al-Qaeda was killed in a drone attack by the United States in Kabul, and after this attack, the United States and the Taliban accused each other of violating the Doha agreement.

However, the US State Department and the Taliban have not said anything about the talks between the officials of the two sides in Doha.
