Thomas West expressed concern about the targeting of Hazaras in Afghanistan

The US special representative for Afghanistan has expressed concern about the targeting of Hazaras in this country and has called for a national dialogue.
US Special Representative for Afghanistan Thomas West tweeted that the targeting of the Hazara community and the tragic loss of youth and women, reducing space for journalists and the media is a general concern.
He added that in the past few days in Ankara, he met with a wide range of Afghans and received advice from them.
Mr. West continued: “I called on Afghans, both inside and outside of Afghanistan, to organize and speak with one voice to their community and to the Taliban about a brighter future for their children and families.”
It should be noted that after the Taliban came to power, most of the Hazara ethnic groups in Afghanistan have been targeted by terrorist attacks.
In the latest incident, an educational center in the west of Kabul was targeted by a terrorist attack, as a result of which more than 70 people were killed and injured, mostly girls and young women students.
