The United Nations reported a 50% increase in poverty in Afghanistan

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs says that the poverty rate in Afghanistan has increased by 50%.

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said in a report that the poverty rate in Afghanistan has increased by 50% in the last three years.

This organization called the decrease in income, unemployment and increase in rates among the factors of increasing poverty in Afghanistan and added that the rate of poverty in this country has increased from 47% to 97%.

In his report, Ucha called for immediate measures to end poverty in Afghanistan.

It should be mentioned that after the Taliban came to power and the fall of the previous government of Afghanistan, the economic situation in this country almost collapsed.

After the Taliban came to power, the United States also blocked billions dollars of assets of Afghanistan, which increased prices and unemployment in the country.
