Central Bank: New banknotes will be released to the market soon

The central bank of Afghanistan says that soon new banknotes will be released to the market and old banknotes will be systematically collected.
The central bank wrote in a statement that this bank has achieved tangible results in accordance with the plan regarding the printing of Afghani banknotes, and soon the easy delivery of these banknotes will begin according to the plan.
This bank added that the publication of new banknotes is based on reasonable monetary policies balanced with economic growth and necessity in the market, and the old banknotes are systematically collected and removed from circulation according to existing procedures.
At present, the circulation of worn banknotes in the markets of Afghanistan is considered a serious challenge.
The United States of America has recently transferred 3.5 billion dollars of Afghanistan’s foreign exchange reserves, which it had frozen after the Taliban came to power, to a Swiss bank, and that money was supposed to be used for the cost of printing new Afghan banknotes.
