The chargé d’affaires of the US Mission to Afghanistan went to Pakistan

The chargé d’affaires of the American embassy in Afghanistan has gone to Pakistan to investigate the situation of Afghan immigrants.

Keren Decker, Chargé d’Affaires of the US Embassy in Afghanistan, announced in a tweet about his trip to Pakistan to check the situation of Afghan immigrants and wrote that he is looking forward to receiving new information about the situation of Afghan citizens in Pakistan.

The charge d’affaires of the American embassy for Afghanistan is traveling to Pakistan, according to some reports, more than 11,000 Afghan immigrants have been arrested in Pakistan, and about 40% of them have legal documents with them.

According to official estimates, Pakistan currently hosts more than three million Afghan refugees.

Last year, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, in partnership with the government of Pakistan, reviewed and updated the information of about 1.4 million Afghan refugees who were registered in 2006 and 2007 and granted them immigration residence.
