The special representative of the Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation met with Amir Khan Motaghi in Kabul

The special representative of the Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and his accompanying delegation met with Maulvi Amir Khan Motaghi, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Taliban in Kabul.
Dr. Tariq Bakhit, deputy of humanitarian affairs and special representative of the Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, said in this meeting that the purpose of their trip to Afghanistan is to implement the resolutions of the extraordinary meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation regarding Afghanistan and to officially open the office of this organization in Kabul.
He added that with the opening of this organization’s office in Kabul, humanitarian aid to the people of Afghanistan will begin.
In this meeting, Amir Khan Motaghi, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Taliban, also thanked the people of Afghanistan for the help of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and assured that all kinds of facilities will be provided for the humanitarian and development assistance of this organization in Afghanistan.
He further invited the member countries of the aforementioned organization to the opportunities of mutual benefits through investment in Afghanistan.
Also, in this meeting, the establishment of the International Islamic University in Afghanistan by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the restarting of the process of choosing Kabul as the cultural capital of Islamic countries for 2024 and other issues were discussed.
