Three people were arrested in Herat for marrying married women

The local officials of the Taliban in Herat say that as a result of a search operation in this province, three have been arrested on the charge of marrying married women.

The media office of the Herat Police Command said in a newsletter that these three people were arrested by the personnel of the Human Trafficking Directorate of the Province’s Criminal Crimes Management in a discovery operation.

According to the news release, these three arrested persons are accused of giving married women unofficial and illegal marriages and cheating in different ways.

The news report added that these three people were arrested from Chaharbagh Firuzeh village of Anjil district of Herat province and their case has been sent to judicial institutions for further investigation.
