Pakistan wants to transfer Turkmen liquefied gas through Afghanistan

The government of Pakistan is preparing a series of proposals to import liquefied natural gas from Turkmenistan through Afghanistan.
Pakistani media “Today” has reported that the Federal Customs Department of Quetta, Pakistan, after consulting with the relevant parties, has prepared plans for the import of liquefied gas from the border of Afghanistan and Pakistan and has submitted these plans to the Federal Tax Department.
The media reported that the government of Pakistan is preparing to take an important step to import liquefied natural gas from Turkmenistan, which is not only economically beneficial, but also imports liquefied natural gas of higher quality.
According to this report, in the first phase, Afghan freight companies will transport LPG from the border of Turkmenistan to the Pakistan border, and in the second phase, LPG pumping equipment will be installed at the Chaman border.
