Taliban whipped 20 people in Helmand

Taliban officials in Helmand state that 20 people were flogged in public by the appeals court of this province on charges of theft and illicit relations.
Officials in the Taliban Intelligence and Culture Department in Helmand say that these 20 were accused and found guilty of theft and illicit relations by the appeals court of Helmand Province and were flogged in public.
According to them, these people were whipped by the Taliban in the football stadium of Lashkar Gah, the capital of Helmand province, in public.
However, it is said that journalists were not allowed to take pictures of this event.
It should be mentioned that the Taliban have previously flogged 27 people in the city of Charikar, the capital of Parwan province, according to the verdict of the appeals court of this province in front of the people.
