A journalist committed suicide in Kandahar

Local authorities in Kandahar say that an employee of one of the local radio stations in this province committed suicide.

Officials at the Kandahar Police Command say that this person’s name is Nasir Ahmad Mirzaei and he ended his life yesterday (Sunday) with a gunshot.

The authorities have called the cause of suicide of this journalist as family problems.

According to them, this journalist has been suffering from unemployment for some time.

It should be mentioned that after the fall of the previous government in Afghanistan and the increase in poverty and unemployment, the number of suicides has also increased in this country.
