Taliban whipped 59 people in Uruzgan and Badakhshan

Uruzgan Court of Appeal said in a newsletter that 23 people, including two women, were whipped in this province.
The news report states that these people were punished for the crimes of theft, adultery, premarital rape and running away from home in front of the public.
Meanwhile, local sources in Badakhshan also inform about the punishment of 36 people by the Taliban in this province.
These sources say that 36 people, including 7 women, were punished in the sports field of Faizabad city, the capital of Badakhshan province, in front of the public.
According to the sources, these people were whipped for the crimes of theft and talking on the phone.
It should be mentioned that the international community has opposed and condemned the punishment of people in public by the Taliban.
