The United Nations expressed concern over the order banning women from working in Afghanistan

The United Nations has expressed concern over the Taliban’s new order to stop the work of women in domestic and foreign institutions in Afghanistan and said that this action will weaken the activities of humanitarian agencies.
Stephane Dujarric, the spokesperson of the UN Secretary-General, said in a statement: “The Secretary-General is deeply concerned about the reports about the order of the Taliban group, which prohibits women from working in national and international non-governmental organizations. “This decision will undermine the work of countless organizations that work across the country to help the most vulnerable, especially women and girls.”
Yesterday, the Ministry of Economy of the Taliban ordered all domestic and foreign institutions in Afghanistan to prevent women from working in these institutions.
This ministry called the reason for this action to be women’s non-observance of hijab and the rules of this group.
