The head of UNAMA met with Sirajuddin Haqqani and Hamid Karzai

The Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary General for Afghanistan and his accompanying delegation have met with the Acting Ministry of Interior of the Taliban.

In a tweet, the Ministry of Interior Affairs of the Taliban announced the meeting of Marks Putzel, the representative of the United Nations Secretary General for Afghanistan and his delegation with the acting head of the ministry, Sirajuddin Haqqani.

The ministry said that the UN representative for Afghanistan expressed concern about the restrictions imposed on girls’ education in Afghanistan.

In the continuation of this meeting, Siraj Haqqani, the Acting Minister of the Interior of the Taliban, said that efforts are underway to find a suitable solution in accordance with Sharia rules for Girls’ education.

On the other hand, the head of UNAMA also met with Hamid Karzai, the former president of Afghanistan, and both of them emphasized the reopening of educational and educational centers for girls.

In this meeting, the two sides also discussed the issues of Afghanistan and the region.
