The Organization of Islamic Cooperation called the suspension of women’s education and work in Afghanistan against Islamic laws

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation called the suspension of education and work of women and girls in domestic and foreign universities and non-governmental institutions a violation of Islamic laws and emphasized the cancellation of the decisions by the Taliban.
In the final declaration of the meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation on Afghanistan, which was held in Jeddah, it was emphasized that education is a basic human right that all people should enjoy and not be deprived of it based on equal opportunities and without discrimination.
The organizers of the meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation on Afghanistan expressed their disappointment in the announcement of the suspension of women’s education in Afghanistan and the decision that orders all national and international non-governmental organizations to suspend female employees until further notice.
This organization asked the Taliban authorities to work to reopen schools and universities for girls and enable them to participate in all levels of education and all the expertise needed by the people of Afghanistan.
The Organization of Islamic Cooperation also emphasized the need to protect fundamental rights, including the right to life, security, dignity and the right to education for all Afghan women and girls in accordance with Islamic values and international human rights standards.
