Cold weather killed 25 people in Badakhshan and Jawzjan

Local officials in Badakhshan and Jawzjan say that the cold weather has killed 25 people in these provinces.
Officials in Jawzjan Police Command say that as a result of the cold weather in this province, 18 people died and about 18,000 animals were also destroyed.
Officials of Jawzjan Police Command say that these 18 include 9 men, 5 women and 4 children who died in Khomab, Khanqah and Agcheh districts.
At the same time, Moazuddin Ahmadi, the head of information and culture of Badakhshan, also says that 7 children have lost their lives due to the cold weather in this province.
According to him, one child died in Faizabad city, the capital of Badakhshan province, another child died in Baharak district and 5 other children died in Shahr Bozor district.
Meanwhile, local sources in this province have reported the loss of a large number of livestock as a result of the cold weather.
It should be mentioned that last week, Afghanistan’s meteorological department announced heavy snowfall in the provinces of Afghanistan.
