The Afghan Senate, one day after the arrest of three senators on charges of ‘taking bribes: the necessary details have not been shared with us.

In a statement issued today (Tuesday, Dec 29), the Senate called on the relevant departments to comply with Article 102 of the Constitution.
This article states that; whenever a member of the National Assembly is charged with a crime, the officer in charge shall inform the Assembly to which the accused is a member, and the accused may be prosecuted.
The parliament wrote in its statement that the agency is committed to fighting corruption and has always acted in accordance with the law and cooperated with law enforcement agencies.
