Balkh Railway Directorate earns 12 million per day

Officials in Balkh Province Railway Department say that this department earns 12 million daily.

Maulvi Mohammad Shafiq Mahmood, the head of Balkh province railway, told Bakhtar state news agency that he earns about 12 million afghanis daily through export and import using the railway.

He said and added that 180 to 200 wagons of commercial goods enter the country every day through the port of Hairatan, and on average 20 wagons are exported from this port to the countries of Central Asia.

The head of Balkh Railway added: “Through this port daily oil, gas, flour and wheat, construction materials and other goods enter the country and exports through this port include two parts, the first part of which is the transit goods of Pakistan such as: Malta and It is potatoes, and the second part is domestic export materials such as raisins, talcum stone, and other materials that are exported abroad.

According to him, two billion one hundred and forty million six hundred and thirty-one thousand six hundred and eighty Afghani revenues were collected in ten months of 1401 solar year.
