Pakistan’s Defense Minister and his delegation met with Taliban officials

The Office of the Economic Deputy of the Taliban Prime Minister’s Office has announced the meeting of the deputy of this institution with the Minister of Defense of Pakistan, who traveled to Kabul at the head of a delegation.
In the newsletter of this institution, it is stated that Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, the deputy of this institution, discussed bilateral relations, trade, regional connectivity and the development of economic cooperation in a meeting with the Minister of Defense of Pakistan.
In this meeting, the economic deputy of the Taliban Ministry called Afghanistan and Pakistan two neighboring countries and said that there should be good relations between the two countries.
He stressed on the development of economic relations between the two countries and added that such relations are for the purposes of both countries and commercial and economic issues should be separated from political and security issues.
Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar continued to demand the release of Afghans who are currently imprisoned in that country’s prisons.
At the end of this meeting, the Pakistani side assured the Taliban officials of the resolution of the mentioned issues and added that the relevant ministries and the appointed committees will work on this matter quickly.
