Torkham crossing was opened for traffic

Local Taliban officials in Nangarhar say that the Torkham crossing has been opened for commercial and passenger vehicles.

Noor Mohammad Hanif, head of information and culture of the Taliban in Nangarhar, says that the Torkham crossing has been opened for passenger and commercial vehicles.

He said that passengers who are stuck in Pakistan and have not been allowed to enter the country can now return.

Yesterday, the embassy of the Taliban government in Islamabad also wrote in a tweet that the Torkham crossing will be opened to traffic on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the Torkham border crossing was closed to traffic on Monday this week due to the conflict between the Taliban and Pakistan border guards.

This crossing has been opened to traffic after Pakistan’s defense minister traveled to Kabul at the head of a delegation and met with Taliban officials.
